英语语法中的“定语（形容词）从句”
1.在句子中充当形容词用的子句是形容词子句。
2.形容词子句可修饰人或物,用关系代名词who,which,that等连接。
The teacher blamed the boy that(who) broke the window.老师责备了打坏窗子的男孩。
that broke the window是形容词子句,修饰the boy。
It must be a toy car that(which) can be assembled.一定是个能组装的玩具车。
that(which) can be assembled是形容词子句,修饰a toy car。
He was reading a book that(which) was written by Mark Twain.他在读一本马克吐温写的书。

3.whose可用来代替代名词的所有格,用在形容词子句中。

4.when用在形容词子句中,限定时间。

5.where用在形容词子句中,限定地点。
This house is the place where I spent my childhood.这个房子是我度过童年的地方。
This is the place where I grew up.这就是我长大的地方。
6.for which,why用在形容词子句中,表示原因。
That is the reason why (for which) I＇m so familiar with them.这就是我如此熟悉他们的原因。
for which, why用在形容词子句中,表示原因。
That is the reason why he dislikes me.这就是他不喜欢我的原因。
That is the reason for which he dislikes me.这就是他不喜欢我的原因。
